Grant Thornton Baltic managers held a conference in Riga

Work goes better when it can be done with people you know well. And of course, there is power in cooperation! At Grant Thornton Baltic, we have always believed this, and that is why our partners and managers from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have been meeting at least once a year for ten years.

Managers' conference 2024

This time our Latvian colleagues hosted colleagues from Estonia and Lithuania in  Riga in 10th and 11th of October. On the first day matters were discussed in service line work groups. For example, the focus was on how to:

  • organize pan-Baltic customer service more smoothly;
  • better use our existing software;
  • serve clients keeping high service standards and taking into account the local business culture.

This busy day turned smoothly into a lively evening, with delicious dinner and cheerful company.

On the second day, we welcomed the new Grant Thornton Baltic partners, reviewed how the past season ended, and found out what are the main challenges of our company for the current financial year.

We launched a new award

Grant Thornton Baltic's Estonian company has had a nice tradition of recognizing good employees and important projects for 12 years. Now, for the first time, we selected the best projects in the Baltics. Employees of our three countries nominated pan-Baltic projects for the title "Grant Thornton Baltic Awards". Clear winner was the team servicing an international payroll client ADP. ADP has been our client for a long time in all three countries and has always stood out for its high standards, challenging us from time to time and therefore also helping us developing our systems and improving our processes. Our teams’ good work has been recognized by the ADP as well. For example, in the end of 2022, Grant Thornton Baltic received the Partner Excellence Award from for 15 years of excellent cooperation in payroll processing for ADP clients in the Baltic countries. We will certainly continue to highlight pan-Baltic projects and give out the Baltic awards.

Pan baltic Award 2024

In the afternoon of the second day of the conference, our employees were able to expand their horizons on topics such as talent management and artificial intelligence, which were introduced to us by prominent specialists in these fields from Latvia. As befits a conference, the day ended with a powerful drum show and a play of colours at Riga's Digital Art House.

All in all, the conference was lively and interesting and gave a lot of food for thought. And of course, all important agreements must be implemented now. Many thanks to our Latvian colleagues for hosting this year’s conference! We will meet next year in Tallinn!
